Blue Skies

We've had fair weather and blue skies this week and I'm reminded how soothing it is just to look at the sky and the clouds drifting by. I've been in need of calm and fresh air .. so here is a little post dedicated to cool, blue, fresh air and calming skies.

Vervain just coming into flower, silhouetted against the summer sky.

I love borage - it's color and texture! Very pretty. I planted some last year but forgot to this year and it didn't survive.

I posted something similar at the weekend on my gardening blog, must be the summer and we al wish to slow down and enjoy the light :-)

Life should be about lying on a grassy hill, watching white clouds dift across a blue sky, maybe a skylark or two... we did it as children, but seem reluctant to do nothing as adults. I'm all for doing nothing. Thanks for reminding us of the need to "just stop and stare"

How beautiful! I just want to reach out, pinch off one of those borage flowers and have a little munch - they look so tasty! xx

Beautiful flowers. I like how you captured the fuzzy details on the stems.

It has been too long since I grew Borage.
It is beautiful!
The blue is refreshing.
Hope you are able to relax a bit and rest.
I agree with NAturewitch, I just want to pinch a bloom and and have a nibble.

hello everyone .. thank you all for your wonderful comments, I'm sorry I wasn't able to respond as usual

nutty - hope you're feeling better! elderflower, peppermint and yarrow tea is best for colds .. for chesty, I think hyssop is recommended (though never tried it myself)?
