It seems to be the season for tagging! Thank you to NatureWitch for nominating me for this little survey .. another fleeting insight into the person behind the blog:
1. What was I doing 10 years ago? I was studying at the University of York for an MA in Early Medieval Studies. I couldn't believe how lucky I was to be carrying out my research in the wonderful setting of the King's Manor.
2. What were five things on my "to-do" list today? When you have ME, your 'to-do' list should never have 5 things on it! Today I hope to pot on some herblings for the Hedgewitch summer stall.
3. Snacks I enjoy 'Cocoa Loco' healthy snack bars which are great if you're a chocoholic like me but didn't ought to be (!) They are made of great stuff (raw dates, raisins, peanuts, almonds, walnuts, oats and apple juice) but have some cocoa in them so they kind of satisfy that chocolate craving.
4. Things I would do if I were a billionaire I hope I would use my funds and influence to support people less fortunate than myself and campaign on behalf of the Earth.
5. Places I have lived My beloved London, except for short spells in Yorkshire studying (see above). I have been settled in Tottenham for a good five years now.
6. People to tag I'm going to throw this open to anyone who feels like having a go..

I have been tagged to Hedgewitch.... I don't think I will be doing it, not sure.
It was interesting to read about you, and I am sure you do not want loads of comments on the things you have told us.
I was born in South East London and spent the first nineteen years of my life there. I always say "my heart belongs to London but my soul belongs to the countryside."
My son lives in London, he loves it, he works in the city, so it is easy travelling.
ah, a fellow-Londoner! whereabouts in South East London?
yes, I'm never sure about sharing too much info .. perhaps one should draw a slight veil and preserve one's air of mystery?
Dear Hedgewitch,
I am enjoying getting to know you.
One of these days I will leave the U. S. and travel to England.
Medieval studies sounds very interesting.
Sherry
What a beautiful sunflower! When will your strawberries be ripe? I don't have any, but a gardener down the road has a large bed and sells them every summer. They are usually ready in early June.
I am responding to a similar tag tomorrow. Sometimes these are a little silly or tedious, but this one does give a little insight into the person writing. I think it's interesting that you have an MA in Medieval Studies--this time period has always fascinated me, though I certainly wouldn't have wanted to live during that time.
Hi Hedgewitch......I like a little bit of mystery myself, it keeps one guessing.
Eltham....I grew up on a large council estate in the 50's - 60's.
It was a rough area, Mum and Dad didn't have much money. They were good hardworking people with principles and high moral standards. I have seen all sides of life and I am glad I have. It gives one a balanced view.
Hi Sherry .. seems like a long time ago now! I studied the very early Anglo-Saxon period (otherwise known as the Dark Ages) with a special interest in the Anglo-Saxon Kingdom of Kent. When I finished I worked freelance as an archaeological finds specialist working on Anglo-Saxon cemeteries uncovered as part of the new Channel Tunnel rail link being dug through Kent (Cheryl will know about this!). You must let me know, of course, if you do plan a trip to England.. I hope your itinery will include a little cup of tea with me in my herb garden?
Thanks, rose .. I don't know to be honest, in England the strawberries are strongly associated with Wimbledon tennis in June and it looks like mine might make it, depending on the weather .. fingers crossed! No, I wouldn't have wanted to live then either, I don't think.. although its easy to hanker after simpler times, I'm not sure I would have managed all that well without spectacles and a broadband connection, lol!!
Hello cheryl.. I've lived in Streatham, Lewisham, East Dulwich and Greenwich in SE London, which I was very fond of, and loved to visit Eltham Palace. Yes, parts of SE London are very rough (as are parts of Tottenham), so I can well imagine. Seeing all sides of life is a valuable experience, I agree.
Hi Hedgewitch Greenwich is lovely, I spent a lot of time there as a child. My parents would take me to the park and we would look around the historic buildings. I can still see the statue of Wolfe on the hill.
In retirement my Dad used to be a guide on the Cutty Sark. There is nothing he doesn't know about her. She is the other woman in his life.lol
