.. I thought we could all do with some of nature's more cheerful Spring things to look at instead:

I know its only blossom ... but I like it, and its lasted for ages in the vase
Can't beat some daffs cut fresh from the garden.. I like the little ones best

Lovely post, really brought a smile to my face.
Love the blossom.
I love apple & cherry blossoms...They're so pretty and their smell is so wonderful!
But finding some is not easy when you don't have a garden or nearby woods (for wild ones)...I'm hoping to find some branches grown without pesticides so that I can dry the blossoms for tea (I remember that the apple blossoms have medicinal use but am not quite sure about the cherry ones).
For now, I found lilac branches at the farmers market...Can't stop sniffing them ;).
Hi Cheryl, Hi Alchemille!
This blossom is Wallace Plum, apparently .. its from a friend's garden, which is why I love it as we don't have any here either.
What we DO have, however, is a lilac tree.. right outside the kitchen window! It is currently in bud and home to five different bird feeders which are extremely busy right now.. blue tits, great tits, blackbirds, our resident robin and sparrows. Will try to get some photos.
Yes, there's nothing like the smell of the lilac blossoms.. I'm looking forward to it! Glad you found some, Alchemille :-)
i'm convinced we're sisters... i have the same raffia mats, i've also got daffs on the table from the garden, i have two budding lilac trees outside my bedroom window, i've been coveting that same green journal from kreativlink...
how funny :o)
Hi Hedgewitch.....
please visit I have done a sort of tagging thing.....
That IS funny, claire! From this day forward I will proudly consider you my honorary sister, lol :-)
Happy to oblige, cheryl.. sorry to put you through this dilemma. Next time I will do the same as you, I think.. good compromise!
Greetings! I like those little daffodils too - they are JUST starting to open around my home.
Glad to have found your blog as well Hedgewitch! Happy Almost Spring!
Best,
Jade
Pretty flowers! I have weeks to wait yet so will have to keep coming back to your pics to enjoy them. Thanks for sharing!
P.S. Doesn't your kitty want to nibble on them?? I have to put mine up high where kitty can't get at them.
Lovely spring blossoms. I just love the plum blossoms in the pitcher. I used to have a plum tree. I don't know what variety but I remember those lovely blossoms.
I found your blog through Cheryls blog.
Thanks, jade! nice to meet you :-)
That's interesting, ruthie.. she does usually do a fairly good job of decimating anything I put in a vase on the kitchen table (!) but she's left these alone.. which is odd, now you come to mention it?!
Hello lisa, thanks for dropping by.. Cheryl's blog is wonderful, isn't it.. one of my favourites :-)
